A Top 25 battle in the Big 12 put up solid numbers by FOX standards.
The TCU/Oklahoma State college football game earned a 1.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, the network’s second-highest for an afternoon telecast this season (six total). Only TCU/Texas Tech in week four did better in the metered markets (1.9).
Head-to-head, the Cowboys’ rout tied Arkansas/Mississippi on CBS (1.7) but was no match for Florida State/Clemson on ABC (5.5).
In primetime, Utah/Washington drew a 1.1 overnight — down 35% from Stanford/Oregon last year (1.7) and down 27% from Oklahoma/Texas Tech in 2013 (1.5). The 1.1 is easily the lowest for a primetime game on FOX this season (six telecasts), and tied as the second-lowest regardless of timeslot.
The Utes’ win was trounced head-to-head by LSU/Alabama on CBS (6.3) and Minnesota/Ohio State on ABC (3.0).
