Overnights Up Big For NBA Wednesday on ESPN
- Wednesday’s Clippers/Warriors NBA regular season game had a 2.3 overnight rating on ESPN, up 64% from the same matchup last year (1.4) and ESPN’s highest regular season overnight since October of last year. ESPN’s telecast had a 4.2 rating in Los Angeles and a 4.0 in the Bay Area. Knicks/Cavaliers drew a 1.8 earlier in the night, up 64% from Pacers/Wizards last year (1.1). Cleveland turned in a 5.5 rating and New York a 2.5. (ESPN)
Viewership Rises For Latest 30 For 30 Doc
- The premiere of ESPN’s 30 For 30 documentary The Gospel According to Mac earned 1.0 million viewers on ESPN Tuesday night, up 65% from the third episode of last year’s fall run, When the Garden Was Eden (611K). Compared to Brothers in Exile on the comparable date last year, viewership increased 9% from 930,000. (via ShowBuzz Daily)
Late Night PBC Low on NBCSN
- Coverage of the Premier Boxing Champions series on NBCSN had 170,000 viewers late Saturday night, down 32% from the network’s previous telecast three weeks earlier (250K). The telecast, which began at 11 PM ET, earned the third-smallest PBC audience on any network — not including coverage on Bounce TV the previous night (35 telecasts).
