The Warriors’ record start to the season continues to benefit the NBA’s TV partners. In other news, ESPN scored another increase in viewership for the College Football Playoff rankings, and Formula 1 viewership is up double-digits on the NBC family of networks.
Warriors Continue to Move Needle
- Tuesday’s Lakers/Warriors NBA regular season game, in which Golden State clinched the best start in NBA history, had a 1.8 final rating and 2.7 million viewers on TNT — marking the fifth-largest audience of the early season. While Cavaliers/Bulls on Opening Night remains the most-watched game of the season (3.5M), the next six have involved the Warriors. Celtics/Hawks drew a 0.9 and 1.3 million earlier Tuesday; there were no comparable games last year or in 2013. (via TV Media Insights)
