ESPN Ties Record-High Overnight For Women’s CBB
- ESPN scored a 1.5 overnight rating for the Notre Dame/Connecticut women’s college basketball game Saturday afternoon, up 200% from the same matchup last year (0.5) and tied as the highest ever for a regular season women’s game on the ESPN family of networks. It matched Notre Dame/Stanford in December 2010, which marked the end of the Huskies’ 90-game winning streak. Saturday’s game, which aired opposite the highest rated college football telecast of the season, topped the preceding Arizona/Gonzaga men’s basketball game by 25% (1.5 to 1.2). (ESPN Media Zone, SBD)

Over on CBS, Temple/Wisconsin also had a 0.6 — down 25% from Wisconsin/Marquette last year (0.8) and down a third from UCLA/Missouri in 2013 (0.9). (via SBD)
