Louisville/Kentucky Down on CBS
- The Louisville/Kentucky college basketball game drew a 1.9 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, down 10% from both last year on ESPN2 and 2013 on CBS (2.1 both years). The 1.9 is the lowest for the rivalry since 2012 (1.6) but the highest of the young season for college basketball on a broadcast network (eight telecasts). (via ShowBuzz Daily)
Premier League Doubleheader Nears Low on NBC
- In the first Premier League doubleheader ever on U.S. broadcast television, Newcastle/Everton and Southampton/Arsenal each had a 0.7 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon. There were no comparable matches on the network last year. The matches tied NBC’s second-lowest overnight of the season (15 telecasts), with only Watford/Arsenal in October ranking lower in the metered markets (0.6). (via ShowBuzz Daily)
ISU GP of Figure Skating Up From Last Year
- NBC averaged a 0.8 rating and 1.1 million viewers for seven ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating telecasts this year, up a tick in ratings and 14% in viewership from last year’s 0.7 and 936,000.
