For the third time in as many appearances, the Cardinals set or tied a season-low on Sunday Night Football.
The Week 15 Cardinals/Eagles Sunday Night Football game drew an 11.7 overnight rating on NBC, down 21% from Cowboys/Eagles last year (14.9) but up 7% from Bengals/Steelers in 2013 (10.9). The 11.7 is tied as the lowest of the season for SNF, matching the Cardinals’ previous appearance against the Bengals in Week 11.
Including Cardinals/Seahawks in Week 10 (12.6), the Cardinals’ three SNF appearances rank among the four lowest rated in the metered markets. Colts/Steelers in Week 13 is the lone exception (12.2). As mentioned previously, each Cardinals game set or tied a season-low at the time.
SNF ranked a distant third for the day among NFL telecasts, trailing both the NFL national window on CBS (15.9) and the singleheader on FOX (15.3).
Phoenix was the top market for the Cardinals’ blowout win, with a 30.7 rating. Philadelphia was not far behind at 30.4. Richmond (17.5), Las Vegas (16.5) and Norfolk (16.0) rounded out the top five.
