Overnight ratings dipped for the first game of the Divisional Round.
The Chiefs/Patriots NFL Divisional Round game drew a 19.7 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, down 6% from Ravens/Patriots on NBC last year (20.9) but up 1% from Saints/Seahawks on FOX in 2014 (19.5). The 19.7 is the second-lowest for the early Saturday Divisional window since Cardinals/Saints on FOX in 2010 (17.9), ahead of only 2014.
Overall, the 19.7 ranks ninth out of the 30 Saturday Divisional Round games since the current scheduling format began in 2002.
The Patriots’ win earned the lowest overnight of Divisional Round weekend, ranking behind Packers/Cardinals on NBC later in the night (20.3). This year marked the first time since 2010 that the Saturday afternoon Divisional Round window drew a lower overnight than the Saturday night game.
