NBC Could Share TNF With CBS, Says Report
- NBC has emerged as a contender to share Thursday Night Football rights with incumbent partner CBS, Deadline reported Thursday, just days after Sports Business Daily broke the NFL’s interest in splitting TNF among multiple broadcast networks. Nothing is set in stone, however, and it was only one week ago that The Street reported FOX was the leading challenger to steal the package from CBS. (Deadline via Sports Business Daily, The Street)
SportsNation Moving From ESPN2 to ESPN
- The ESPN2 talk show SportsNation will relocate to ESPN starting the day after the Super Bowl, it was announced Thursday. The show will retain its current 4 PM ET timeslot, but shrink to a half-hour in order to accommodate ESPN’s pre-existing daytime lineup. (ESPN Media Zone)
LeBron, CNBC, Partnering on Reality Show
- CNBC has partnered with LeBron James‘ production company SpringHill Entertainment on a new reality show set to debut this summer. Titled Cleveland Hustles, the series will feature James and his business partner Maverick Carter assisting a set of Cleveland-based entrepreneurs “who need a little jumpstart.” James’ production company is already behind a drama series on Starz and a children’s show on Disney XD.
