Sunday Night Baseball Down, Wednesday Up
- Cardinals/Dodgers earned 1.7 million viewers on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball last weekend, down 28% from Tigers/Cardinals last year (2.3M) but up 18% from Cardinals/Pirates in 2014 (1.4). On Wednesday night, Nationals/Mets had 569,000 — up 6% from Rangers/Red Sox last year (537K) and down 31% from Yankees/Mets in 2014 (824K). Monday’s Red Sox/Royals game was rained out, with rain delay coverage earning 512,000.
Mixed Numbers For Last Week’s MLB on FS1
- Last Saturday’s Astros/Red Sox Major League Baseball game scored 440,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1, up 8% from Braves/Marlins last year (409K). Twins/Indians scored 365,000 later in the day, down 37% from Pirates/Cubs last year (583K) and down 5% from Giants/Dodgers in 2014 (386K).
Latest 30 For 30 Doc Least Watched Since October
- The premiere of ESPN’s 30 For 30 documentary Believeland had 844,000 viewers last Saturday night, topping only The Prince of Pennsylvania in October (733K) as the least-watched episode of the current season. There was no comparable May premiere last year or in 2014.
