Musburger Gets Extension, But No Promotion
- ESPN and play-by-play voice Brent Musburger have reached agreement on a multi-year contract extension, the network announced Thursday. Musburger will remain in his current roles, calling collegiate football for SEC Network and basketball for ESPN. Since being demoted from ESPN’s lead college football team in 2014, he has worked a grand total of three FBS games on the network. (ESPN Front Row)
Taylor to Replace Tessitore on SEC Network Pregame

Ley, Tirico, Lead ESPN Euro 2016 Anchor Team
- ESPN announced Thursday that Bob Ley will serve as its lead anchor for coverage of the Euro 2016 soccer tournament, marking the fifth major, international soccer tournament he has anchored this decade. Other hosts include British broadcasters Steve Bower and Alison Bender and the outgoing Mike Tirico, who will officially become a member of NBC Sports on July 1 — about three-fourths of the way through the tournament.
