A rare second summer edition of UFC on FOX did not do well in the ratings.
UFC on FOX 21 earned a 1.3 overnight rating Saturday night, marking the lowest overnight ever for the series. The previous low was a 1.4 for the 19th telecast in April, which had direct competition from Premier Boxing Champions on NBC.
Compared to the previous edition of UFC on FOX last month, which was headlined by Holly Holm, overnights sank 32% from a 1.9. Overnights also dropped 24% from the last August edition back in 2012 (1.7).
Head-to-head, Saturday’s telecast was nearly tripled by competing coverage of the Titans/Raiders NFL preseason game on CBS (3.6).
In other action, UFC prelims coverage had a 0.8 overnight.
