Mortensen Appearing on NFL Insiders Friday
- ESPN NFL reporter Chris Mortensen, who has been sidelined most of the year battling throat cancer, will appear on Friday afternoon’s edition of NFL Insiders from his home. Mortensen previously called into the show in March. Last month, he said that his treatment has gone well enough that he plans to return to ESPN at some point during the season. (ESPN PR/Twitter 9/23)
Pippen Reportedly Rejoining ESPN
- Former Bulls F Scottie Pippen will rejoin ESPN as an NBA analyst this season, The Big Lead reported this week. Pippen, who worked for ESPN/ABC during the 2005-06 season, will appear primarily on the daily ESPN studio show The Jump and on SportsCenter. (The Big Lead)
Rollins Joining TBS MLB Studio
- Former Phillies SS Jimmy Rollins has joined Turner Sports as a Major League Baseball studio analyst, it was announced Friday. Rollins will appear alongside Gary Sheffield, Pedro Martinez and host Casey Stern on the TBS MLB studio show starting this weekend and throughout the MLB Postseason. (Turner Sports)
