Two of the highest-profile teams in the Premier League topped the charts in week six of the season.
Last Saturday’s Arsenal/Chelsea English Premier League match scored 608,000 viewers on NBCSN, up 54% from Manchester City/West Ham last year (395K) and up 13% from Tottenham/Arsenal in 2014 (537K). Ratings increased 30% from last year (from 0.27 to 0.35).
Compared to the same matchup in the same week of last season, which aired in an earlier window, viewership inched up from 607,000.
Earlier in the day, Liverpool/Hull City scored 433,000 viewers — up 24% from Swansea/Everton last year (350K) but down 21% from West Ham/Manchester United in 2014 (550K). Ratings increased 4% (from 0.24 to 0.25).
Manchester United/Leicester City started off the day with 366,000 viewers, down 40% from Chelsea/Arsenal last year (607K) and down 15% from Everton/Liverpool in 2014 (429K). Ratings fell 34% (from 0.38 to 0.25).
Shifting to Sunday, West Ham/Southampton scored a 0.2 and 373,000 viewers — down a tick in ratings and 41% in viewership from last year (0.3, 629K) but flat and up 46%, respectively, from Burnley/West Brom in 2014 (0.2, 256K).
Burnley/Watford rounded out the week six action with 120,000 viewers on Monday afternoon, down 36% from Newcastle/Stoke City in 2014 (188K). There was no comparable window last year.
