Overnights for Game 3 of the NLCS fell well short of last year.
Game 3 of the Cubs/Dodgers National League Championship Series had a 4.4 overnight rating on Fox Sports 1 Tuesday night, down 37% from Mets/Cubs on TBS last year (7.0) but up 110% from Cardinals/Giants in an afternoon window on FS1 two years ago (2.1). Overnights peaked at a 5.3.
Two of the first three NLCS games have dropped double-digits from last year, with Sunday’s game two eking out a 4% increase.
Locally, Game 3 had a 20.4 rating in Chicago — down 18% from last year’s Mets/Cubs game (25.1). The Dodgers’ win had an 11.7 in Los Angeles, up 3% from Game 3 of the 2013 Cardinals/Dodgers NLCS on TBS (11.4).
In other action, Game 4 of the Indians/Blue Jays ALCS had a 2.2 overnight on TBS — up 10% from Royals/Blue Jays on FS1 last year (2.0). Overnights for Orioles/Royals Game 4 in 2014 were not available.
