With a plurality of the country receiving the sorry Bears, the NFL singleheader window sank on FOX. In other news, a Pac-12 doubleheader went in opposite directions on FOX, and Notre Dame’s home finale scored a slight bump with a big caveat.
Low Overnight For NFL Singleheader
- The Week 11 NFL singleheader window, featuring Bears/Giants in 30% or markets or Cardinals/Vikings in 29%, had a 9.5 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — down 14% from last year (11.0) and down 19% from 2014 (11.7), both of which aired on CBS. The 9.5 is the lowest for the singleheader on FOX this season, and the second-lowest regardless of network.
Pac-12 Mixed on FOX
- FOX earned a 1.6 overnight rating for Saturday’s Arizona State/Washington college football game, down 70% from Baylor/Oklahoma State last year (2.8) but up 60% from Texas/Oklahoma State in 2014 (1.0). Earlier in the day, Washington State/Colorado had a 1.5 overnight — up 88% from Utah/UCLA last year (0.8) and up 67% from Washington/Arizona in 2014 (0.9).
Notre Dame Finale Up From Last Year on NBCSN
- Notre Dame’s home finale against Virginia Tech had a 1.6 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon, up 23% from last year’s finale against Boston College, which aired in primetime on NBCSN (1.3), but down 27% from the 2014 finale against Louisville on NBC (2.2). The 1.6 was a 60% improvement over the previous week, when the Shamrock Series game against Army plumbed the depths at a 1.0.
