After hitting a bump in the road, NBC’s Premier League viewership got back on track last weekend.
Last Saturday’s Liverpool/Tottenham English Premier League match had a 0.6 final rating and 951,000 viewers on NBC, up 50% in ratings and 56% in viewership from Southampton/West Ham last year (0.4, 609K). There was no comparable window in 2015.
Liverpool’s win was the eighth of NBC’s past nine EPL windows to top 900,000 viewers, the lone exception coming last week. By comparison, only one of the network’s first eight windows topped that mark.
Over on NBCSN, Manchester United/Watford drew a 0.3 and 481,000 on NBCSN Saturday morning — flat and up 23% respectively from Tottenham/Watford last year (0.3, 392K) and the week’s top match on cable. Earlier in the morning, Arsenal/Hull City had a 0.2 (-33%) and 279,000 (-31%). Figures for CNBC’s Middlesbrough/Everton match were unavailable.
Rounding out the week’s action, Burnley/Chelsea had a 0.25 (+14%) and 391,000 (+13%) Sunday morning, Swansea/Leicester City scored a 0.3 (-40%) and 409,000 (-47%) immediately afterward, and Bournemouth/Manchester City drew 169,000 on Monday.
