Romo Could Replace Simms, Per Report
- CBS is pursuing Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo as a “potential replacement” for lead analyst Phil Simms, NFL Network writer Ian Rapaport reported on Twitter Wednesday. Simms is unpopular on the internet, but CBS has given no previous indication that it is interested in replacing its only lead analyst since reacquiring NFL rights. ESPN.com reported last week that CBS has its sights on Romo, with the network joining rival FOX in that regard. (Ian Rapaport/Twitter 3.29)
