Indians Home Opener Nears 20 Rating in Cleveland
- Through seven telecasts, Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball games have averaged a 10.45 rating on SportsTime Ohio — up 90% from last year. The team’s home opener against the White Sox had a whopping 19.58 rating on Tuesday, topping their 2008 home opener (16.1) as a record for the 11-year-old network. By comparison, the Cavaliers’ highest regular season rating ever on Fox Sports Ohio is a 14.09 for a 2009 game against the Sixers. (Crain’s Cleveland 4.12)
Padres Ratings Up Big Thus Far
- San Diego Padres games averaged a 3.56 rating on Fox Sports San Diego through Sunday, up 30% from last year. The team’s weekend series against the Giants averaged a 4.38, up 43% from their first home series last year against the Dodgers (3.07). (foxsports.com 4.10)
Blue Jackets Set FS Ohio Record
- Columbus Blue Jackets games averaged a 2.09 rating on Fox Sports Ohio during the regular season, up 119% from last year (0.96) and the team’s highest average ever on the network. The previous high was a 1.86 in the 2008-09 season.
