ESPN Hires Coach
- Former University of Oregon and NFL head coach Chip Kelly has joined ESPN as a football analyst covering both the pro and college game, it was announced Friday. Kelly will work in ESPN2’s college football studio on Saturdays and appear on SportsCenter Fridays and Sundays. He is the second prominent ex-coach to join ESPN in the offseason, following in the footsteps of Rex Ryan. [ESPN PR 5.26]
ESPN Extends Another
- ESPN has reached a multi-year contract extension with college basketball analyst Seth Greenberg, the 19th renewal announced by the company since its massive talent layoffs last month. Greenberg, who joined ESPN five years ago, will continue in his current roles as a Bristol-based and College Gameday studio analyst. [ESPN PR 5.25]
Romo to Appear on CBS Golf Coverage Sunday
- Incoming CBS NFL analyst Tony Romo will make his first appearance for the network this Sunday on the network’s PGA Tour coverage, CBS producer Lance Barrow said at an event this week. Romo will appear in the broadcast booth where he will make his first appearance in a CBS blazer and be formally introduced as its newest acquisition.
