NHRA Posts Fourth-Best Audience on Record
- Airing immediately after NASCAR Cup Series coverage, taped NHRA eliminations from New England scored a 0.7 final rating and 1.2 million viewers on Fox Sports 1 last Sunday — the series’ fourth-largest audience on record (dates back to 2002). This year’s Pomona opener (1.2M) and last year’s races from Las Vegas (1.3M) and Houston (1.4M) hold the top three spots. Last year’s New England event was rained out. [Fox Sports]

- NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Dover, Del., earned a 0.7 final rating and 1.0 million viewers on FS1 last Saturday — down 36% in ratings and 38% in viewership from last year (1.1, 1.6M) and down 42% and 43% respectively from 2015 (1.2, 1.8M), both of which aired on the FOX broadcast network. Yankees Ratings, Viewership, Soaring to Five-Year High
- New York Yankees Major League Baseball games have averaged a 3.54 rating and 347,000 viewers on YES Network in New York City, up 49% in ratings and 50% in viewership from the same point last year (2.37, 232K), and the team’s best averages through the month of May since 2012. Yankees games averaged a 3.7 rating in the month of May, up 7% from April (3.39). [YES]
