ESPN’s documentary on the Mike and the Mad Dog radio show was a ratings dud. In other news, the Wimbledon women’s semifinals posted a modest decline, and NBC earned its lowest Tour de France rating.
Mike and Mad Dog Doc Least-Watched 30 For 30 in Two Years
- The premiere of ESPN’s 30 For 30 documentary Mike and the Mad Dog had 657,000 viewers Thursday night, down 45% from the Doc & Darryl on the same night last year (1.2M) and the least-watched 30 For 30 debut since Angry Sky two years ago (390K). Tour de France Hits NBC Low
- Last Saturday’s Stage 8 of the Tour de France pulled a 0.6 final rating and 845,000 viewers on NBC, down a tick in ratings and 12% in viewership from last year (0.7, 958K) and down a tick and 11% respectively from 2015 (0.7, 951K). It was the lowest rated and least-watched live Tour de France telecast on the NBC broadcast network.
