It has been a year to forget for the UFC on FOX.
UFC on FOX 25 earned a 1.2 final rating and 2.0 million viewers Saturday night, down a third in ratings and 31% in viewership from last July (1.8, 3.0M) and down 29% and 26% respectively from July 2015 (1.7, 2.8M). Compared to UFC on FOX 24 in April, ratings were flat and viewership increased 3% (from 2.00M to 2.05M).
The telecast, which averaged 2.7 million viewers during the main event, tied the lowest rating in the history of the UFC on FOX and earned the third-smallest audience. In the latter measure, it topped only the aforementioned April edition and UFC on FOX 21 last August (1.98M).
Not counting a UFC 206 re-air last December, the four lowest rated and least-watched editions of UFC on FOX have come in the last five cards.
In adults 18-49, UFC on FOX pulled a 0.7 rating — down 36% from the previous two July editions (1.1), but even with the previous telecast in April. It was the night’s highest rated program on a single network, edging NBC’s Dateline (0.6).
Saturday’s telecast did outperform the previous week’s Premier Boxing Champions card on FOX, which pulled a 0.6, 886,000, and a mere 0.2 in the demo.
