Later in the night, Capitals-Penguins had a 0.30 (+30%) and 542,000 (+50%) on NBCSN. In weeknight action, NBCSN drew 252,000 for Bruins-Lightning on Tuesday (+15%), 352,000 for Blackhawks-Blues on Wednesday (-10%) on 145,000 for Predators-Capitals on Thursday (-2%).
Speaking of the Predators, Nashville games have continued to surge over last season. Through April 1, Fox Sports Tennessee has averaged a 2.1 rating for Predators coverage — up 165% from last year, per The Tennessean.
Chelsea-Tottenham Up Big on NBCSN
Ranking second, Chelsea-Tottenham had a 0.33 and 499,000 on NBCSN Sunday — up 32% in ratings and 29% in viewership from last year (Everton-Leicester City: 0.25, 387K) but down 11% and 7% respectively from 2016 (Man. Utd.-Everton: 0.37, 537K).
Rounding out the weekend, Manchester United-Swansea had 420,000 (+49%) and Crystal Palace-Liverpool 268,000 (+7%) on Saturday, and Arsenal-Stoke had 258,000 (-39%) on Sunday.
