Overnight ratings for the weekend’s college football action, including the ACC Championship Game on ESPN and the Pac-12 and Big Ten Championship Games on FOX.
- Record-Low Overnight For ACC Title Game: Saturday’s #5 Virginia Tech/#20 Clemson ACC Championship Game earned a mere 1.7 overnight rating on ESPN, down 15% from last year (VT/FSU: 2.0), and down 11% from 2009 (GT/CLEM: 1.9). The 1.7 is the lowest overnight in the history of the ACC title game.
- Big Ten Title Game Solid For FOX: The inaugural Big Ten Championship Game between #15 Wisconsin and #13 Michigan State earned a 4.3 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night. The game, which aired opposite Saturday Night Football on ABC and the ACC Championship Game on ESPN, earned the second-best college football overnight of the weekend.
- Pac-12 Championship Earns 3.2 Overnight: FOX scored a 3.2 overnight rating for Friday night’s inaugural Pac-12 Championship Game between UCLA and #9 Oregon. For some perspective, the game barely topped the Conference USA Championship Game on ABC, which aired at Noon ET the next day (USM/HOU: 3.1).
