Even though Tiger Woods won an event for the first time in two years, overnight ratings for the final round of the Chevron World Challenge were down from last year.
Final round coverage of the Chevron World Challenge earned a 2.6 overnight rating on NBC Sunday, down a tick from Woods’ loss in a playoff last year (2.7), but up 160% from 2009, when Woods did not play (1.0).
The 2.6 is the second-highest overnight for final round coverage of the event since 2002 (3.1).
On Saturday, third round coverage earned a 1.8 overnight, up 13% from last year (1.6), and up 200% from 2009 (0.6).
