It was ok, nothing special just the typically dunkfest no one wants to get hurt. But it did showcase the young amazing talent the NBA has like Griffin,Lin,Rubio,Irving,Hayward,Cousions,Monroe,George,Wall among others.

Not surprised about the record-high..the problem is trying to come close to last year’s levels for all-star saturday night, especially given the lack of big names in the dunk contest (I was hoping to see a Dwight vs. Blake in the dunk contest, which is something that would’ve probably sent tv ratings skyrocketing) and the all-star game itself, especially considering it will face the Oscars head-to-head.

One thing is sure, though. Internationally, this could be the most watched All-Star Game ever..but U.S. ratings don’t take into account overseas numbers, obviously.

  I would be stunned if All Star Saturday will come close to Last year’s record high. All Star Saturday has been a fantastic ratings draw rising nearly yearly since the mid 2000’s. I don’t expect a rise this season at all, But I don’t expect a very terrible rating either.
  
  For the All Star Game, I expect another drop there too. But I don’t think it will drop as bad as some think because of the Oscars. Oscars is extremely boring, I don’t know how there demographics are for that. I still think the NBA will attract the younger audience to watch the All Star game over some boring show with a bunch old people.
