The defending Stanley Cup champion Bruins have not lit up the ratings on NBC this season.
Sunday’s Bruins/Penguins NHL regular season game earned a 0.8 overnight rating on NBC, down a tick from last year (CHI/WSH: 0.9), and down 20% from 2010 (WSH/CHI: 1.0).
The 0.8 overnight is the lowest of the season for the NHL on NBC.
The Bruins’ four appearances on NBC this season rank among the network’s five lowest rated telecasts in the metered markets, including Bruins/Rangers one week earlier (1.0).
