Ratings and viewership dipped slightly for last week’s NFL national window on FOX.
The Week 4 NFL national window, featuring Saints/Packers, earned a 13.4 final rating and 22.3 million viewers on FOX — down 1% in ratings and 3% in viewership from coverage featuring Broncos/Packers on CBS last year (13.6, 23.014M), and down 3% and 4%, respectively, from coverage featuring Eagles/Washington on FOX in 2010 (13.8, 23.134M).
The telecast was outdrawn by NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” (14.1, 22.765M), marking the third time in four weeks this season that “SNF” has topped the NFL national window.
Keep in mind that the NFL national window has traditionally been the highest rated and most-viewed NFL telecast of any given week.
In the first game of last week’s doubleheader, coverage featuring 49ers/Jets drew an 8.7 and 13.8 million viewers — up 23% in ratings and 25% in viewership from coverage on CBS last year (7.1, 11.050M), and up 5% and 1%, respectively, from coverage featuring Panthers/Saints on FOX in 2010 (8.3, 13.679M).
