NASCAR ratings on ABC held steady on Sunday, but are down slightly from last year.
The Dickies 500 drew a 3.7/7 rating and 5.9 million viewers on ABC Sunday, even in ratings but down 2% in viewers from a 3.7 with 6.0 million for the same race in ’07. The race ran into prime time, averaging a 5.1 rating from 7-7:30 PM.
Through eight telecasts, ABC is averaging a 3.7 rating for NASCAR coverage, down 3% from a 3.8 for the comparable eight races last year. Compared to 2006, the 3.7 rating is down 10% from a 4.1 for the comparable eight races on NBC and TNT.
