Coyotes’ TV Ratings More-Than-Double
- Phoenix Coyotes NHL regular season games have averaged a 0.9 rating on Fox Sports Arizona this season, up 118% from last year’s full-season average (0.4). The Coyotes’ highest regular season average in team history was a 1.2 in the 2000-01 season. (bizjournals.com)
Royals Earn Another Near-Record Rating
- Wednesday’s Royals/Twins Major League Baseball regular season game drew a 7.3 rating on Fox Sports Kansas City, the second-highest rating ever for a Royals game on the network (889 telecasts). The mark was previously held by Tuesday’s Royals/Twins game (7.2). The three-game Royals/Twins series averaged a 6.9 rating, a network record for a single series. (royals.mlb.com)
Mixed Numbers For NBA on ESPN
- ESPN drew 1.3 million viewers for the Spurs/Nuggets NBA regular season game Wednesday night, up 14% from Warriors/Trail Blazers last year (1.1M), but down 47% from Lakers/Warriors on the comparable night of the 2010-11 season (2.4M). Earlier in the night, Celtics/Nets drew 1.2 million — down 29% from Knicks/Bucks last year (1.7M), and down 31% from Bucks/Heat in 2011 (1.7M). (Wed. numbers from The Futon Critic)
