The L.A. Dodgers hit another multi-year high on Tuesday night. In other news, the Tigers earned their second-best rating of the season, and ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” could not match last year’s Yankees/Red Sox affair.
Dodgers Hit Six-Yeah High on KCAL
- Tuesday’s Dodgers/Diamondbacks Major League Baseball game earned a 5.2 local rating and 470,000 viewers on Los Angeles affiliate KCAL, the most-viewed regular season Dodgers game on any L.A. station since 2007. The previous night, the Dodgers hit a four-year high on Fox Sports Prime Ticket. (KACL)
Tigers Earn Season’s Second-Best Rating
- Fox Sports Detroit earned a 13.02 rating for Wednesday’s White Sox/Tigers game, the network’s second-highest Tigers rating of the season. Only the Opening Day game between the Tigers at Yankees earned a better rating (14.91). (foxsportsdetroit.com)
Fewer Viewers For Red Sox/Angels
- The Red Sox/Angels “Sunday Night Baseball” game earned 1.9 million viewers on ESPN, not surprisingly down 38% from Yankees/Red Sox last year (3.1M), but up 75% from Dodgers/Angels in the comparable week two years ago (1.1M). (Sun. numbers from The Futon Critic)
