FXX Launches With Huge Increase Over Fox Soccer
- Monday marked the debut of the new FXX comedy channel, which replaced Fox Soccer. With a line-up featuring reruns of the NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” the rebranded network averaged 68,000 viewers on day one — up 209% from the 22,000 viewers Fox Soccer averaged during September last year. - Fox Sports 1 averaged a 0.5 overnight rating for Saturday’s Boise State/Washington college football game, according to ShowBuzz Daily, the network’s top overnight of the day. Deutsche Bank Championship Overnights Down on NBC
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Deutsche Bank Championship, the second leg of the FedEx Cup, earned a 2.5 overnight rating on NBC Monday — down 27% from last year (3.4), but up 9% from 2011 (2.3). Tiger Woods tied for 65th place, compared to a third-place finish last year. Sunday’s third round coverage drew a 2.4 overnight, down a tick from last year (2.5), but up 60% from 2011 (1.5).
