A battle between the best teams in the NHL gave Versus its best regular season rating ever.
The Sharks’ win over the Bruins drew a 0.5 cable rating and 550,000 viewers on Versus Tuesday, tied as the highest rated regular season NHL telecast ever on Versus. Earlier this season, Penguins/Red Wings and Maple Leafs/Red Wings each drew a 0.5 rating.
The 550,000 viewers is not the most ever for an NHL regular season game on Versus, as has been reported. In October, Maple Leafs/Red Wings drew 573,000 viewers.
The 0.5 rating for Sharks/Bruins marks a 69% increase over Versus’ average for NHL games this season.
