NFL Network continued a hot start to its 2013 campaign with record numbers last week.
The Week 3 Chiefs/Eagles “Thursday Night Football” game drew a 6.0 U.S. rating and 9.4 million viewers on NFL Network last week, up 34% in ratings and 30% in viewership from Giants/Panthers last year (4.6, 7.0M), and the highest rated telecast ever on the network.
The previous high was a 5.7 for Cowboys/Saints in December 2009.
Chiefs/Eagles also ranks as the fourth-most viewed telecast ever on NFL Network, trailing only Packers/Cowboys in November 2007 (10.1M), Cowboys/Saints in ’09 (10.5M), and 49ers/Ravens on Thanksgiving 2011 (10.7M).
The first two games of the season on NFL Network rank among the network’s five most-viewed telecasts ever.
Keep in mind, NFL Network started this season in 10 million more television homes than last year.
