Though presumably a better draw than Falcons/Packers would have been, last week’s Panthers/Saints Sunday night game was a fairly soft draw on NBC.
The Week 14 Panthers/Saints “Sunday Night Football” game drew an 11.3 final rating and 19.1 million viewers on NBC, down 12% in ratings and 11% in viewership from Lions/Packers last year (12.8, 21.4M), and down 24% and 22%, respectively, from Giants/Cowboys in 2011 (14.9, 24.5M).
Panthers/Saints ranks as the sixth-lowest rated and fifth-least viewed NFL telecast on NBC this season (16 total). The last two “SNF” telecasts rank among the season’s five least-viewed.
For the first time since Week 9, “Sunday Night Football” was outdrawn by the NFL singleheader window (12.0, 20.2M).
Among adults 18-49, “SNF” drew a 6.9 rating — down 12% from last year (7.8), and down 27% from 2011 (9.4).
