NBCSN Scores Another Big Increase Over London
- Live coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics drew 1.0 million viewers on NBCSN Monday, which NBC says is up 84% from the comparable day of the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Monday’s window ran from 6 AM-3 PM ET, while the comparable window in London aired from 4 AM-8 PM. Late Night Shows Topping Vancouver, Turin
- Late night coverage of the Olympics earned 6.0 million viewers on NBC Monday night, topping 2010 and 2006 as the most-viewed on the first Monday of the Winter Olympics since 2002. Big Declines For NBA on ESPN Opposite Opening Ceremony
- Airing opposite the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics, Friday’s Trail Blazers/Pacers NBA regular season game drew 1.3 million viewers on ESPN — down 33% from Clippers/Heat last year (1.9M), and down 57% from Lakers/Knicks in 2012 (3.0M). Later in the night, Timberwolves/Pelicans also earned 1.3 million — down 12% from Bulls/Jazz last year (1.5M), and down 37% from Thunder/Jazz in 2011 (2.1M). (The Futon Critic)
