Fox Sports has named its ‘B’ team for Major League Baseball coverage this season.
Former Turner Sports MLB analyst John Smoltz has joined Fox Sports as an MLB game analyst on FOX and FS1, it was announced Monday. Smoltz will work alongside Matt Vasgersian, who will still continue working at MLB Network.
FOX did not specify whether Vasgersian and Smoltz will work playoff games, but it would seem likely.
As announced earlier this month, Joe Buck, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci will be the ‘A’ team this season. In addition to the two announced broadcast teams, FOX will also use play-by-play voices Thom Brennaman and Kenny Albert on game telecasts.
