Fox Sports NFL analyst Michael Strahan continues to add high-profile roles outside of the sports world.
Strahan is close to a deal with ABC to join Good Morning America as a part-time contributor, according to multiple reports. Already the co-host of the syndicated Live! With Kelly and Michael talk show, Strahan would “work semi-regularly during the show’s first hour” (AP, 4/1).
The news comes just two days after reports that Josh Elliott would leave GMA for NBC Sports. That news will be made official on Wednesday. Strahan is not expected to serve as a replacement for Elliott.
Strahan has made a habit of branching out from sports television. In addition to GMA and Kelly and Michael, he also starred in a short-lived FOX sitcom titled Brothers.
