NBC reporter Bob Neumeier had to skip the network’s coverage of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday after a health scare.
According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, Neumeier collapsed at Churchill Downs on Friday, prior to the Kentucky Oaks. Neumeier was held overnight at the Audubon Hospital. An NBC spokesman says Neumeier “seems to be doing fine.”
Neumeier, who has also hosted NBC’s coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals, has been a part of the network’s horse racing coverage for the past 19 years.
