Game 6 of the Canadiens/Rangers NHL Eastern Conference final earned 2.1 million viewers on NBCSN Thursday night, up 32% from Rangers/Devils Game 6 in 2012 (1.6M). There was no comparable game of last year’s Eastern final.
Thursday’s game ranks as the most-watched of the series and the second-most watched playoff game ever on NBCSN to involve a Canadian team (outside of the Stanley Cup Final).
Locally, Game 6 earned an 8.5 rating in New York — the market’s highest ever for an NHL game on NBC or NBCSN.
