CBS attracted the largest college football audience of the season for last week’s clash between Florida and Alabama.
Last Saturday’s Florida/Alabama college football game drew a 5.1 final rating and 7.9 million viewers on CBS, marking the highest rated and most-watched college football telecast of the season. After just two games, the SEC on CBS already accounts for two of the three most-watched telecasts of the season.
Compared to previous years, the 5.1 rating marks an 82% increase from Florida/Tennessee last year (2.8) and a 104% jump from Missouri/South Carolina in 2012 (2.5).
Unlike a week earlier, the SEC on CBS did not quite dominate its competition. ABC’s Clemson/Florida State Saturday Night Football game finished not far behind with a 4.9 and 7.3 million viewers.
