For the sixth straight week, ratings and viewership declined for the NFL singleheader window.
The Week 7 NFL singleheader drew a 9.2 final rating and 15.4 million viewers on CBS last Sunday, down 15% in ratings and 16% in viewership from coverage featuring Cowboys/Eagles on FOX last year (10.8, 18.2M) and down 22% and 19%, respectively, from coverage featuring Washington/Giants on FOX in 2012 (11.8, 18.9M).
Ratings and viewership were the second-lowest of the season for the singleheader, ahead of only Week 4 (7.4, 11.8M). The four singleheader telecasts on CBS rank as the four lowest rated and least-viewed.
Overall, six of the seven NFL singleheader windows this year have had declines on CBS or FOX. Only the Week 1 window, which aired on CBS, managed an increase (+4% in ratings and +6% in viewership).
