The surging Cowboys gave FOX a second-straight boost last week.
The Week 7 NFL national window, featuring Giants/Cowboys, drew a 15.6 final rating and 27.0 million viewers on FOX — up 5% in ratings and 7% in viewership from coverage featuring Ravens/Steelers on CBS last year (14.8, 25.3M) and up 11% and 17%, respectively, from coverage featuring Jets/Patriots on CBS in 2012 (14.0, 23.0M).
The telecast was just the second of the season on FOX to have an increase over last year, joining the previous week’s national window — which also featured the Cowboys.
It also earned the fourth-highest rating and viewership of the season on any network. FOX has aired three of the top four telecasts, with each featuring the Cowboys.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Panthers/Packers drew an 8.5 and 14.2 million — down 3% in ratings and up 2% in viewership from last year on CBS (8.7, 13.9M) and up 63% and 76%, respectively, from 2012 on CBS (5.2, 8.1M).
