Sager to Make Appearance on Coaches vs. Cancer Telecast
- Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager, who has been off the air since April due to leukemia, will make an appearance on this weekend’s Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on TruTV. Sager will “deliver a special message to fans” detailing his cancer battle and the support that he has received. (Turner Sports)

- Former ESPN executive Jamie Horowitz, who left the network earlier this year to helm NBC’s Today Show, has been fired from his new position. Horowitz, who during his ESPN tenure developed shows ranging from First Take to Olbermann, was to begin at NBC on December 1. (Deadline)
FOX Hires Pavin and More For Golf Coverage
- Fox Sports has hired Corey Pavin, Juli Inkster, Steve Flesch and Shane O’Donoghue for its coverage of the USGA championships. Pavin has been named a studio analyst for next year’s U.S. Open, joining the previous hired Brad Faxon. Inkster will analyze the U.S. Women’s Open and serve as an on-course reporter for the other events. Flesch has been named a hole announcer for most of the USGA events, and O’Donoghue will host coverage of the various events. (Fox Sports)
