NFL QB Michael Vick will conduct his first interview since being released from federal custody on CBS’ venerable newsmagazine show 60 Minutes.
Vick will appear on 60 Minutes this Sunday, in an interview with CBS NFL host James Brown. This will mark Vick’s first interview since the 2007 dogfighting scandal that resulted in his being sentenced to prison time.
A video crew from 60 Minutes was on hand when Vick spoke to young people in Atlanta over the weekend.
This is far from the first time 60 Minutes has interviewed a star athlete embroiled in controversy. For example, Roger Clemens was interviewed on the program by Mike Wallace shortly after he was named in The Mitchell Report.
Additionally, this is not Brown’s first foray onto the news side of CBS. In ’07, Brown co-hosted The Early Show on several occasions.
