The Notre Dame/Michigan rivalry is still a big television attraction.
Michigan’s win over Notre Dame drew a 5.6 overnight rating on ABC Saturday, up 93% from a 2.9 for regional action in the same timeslot last year.
Compared to past Notre Dame/Michigan matchups, the 5.6 overnight is up 40% from a 4.0 for last year’s game on NBC, and up 107% from a 2.7 for the ’07 game on ABC.
This marks the highest overnight for an afternoon college football game on ABC since a Noon ET Texas/Oklahoma game drew a 6.3 last October.
