News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch says FOX is unlikely to make a bid on future Olympics.
Despite indications that FOX would bid on the 2014 and 2016 Olympics, Murdoch said yesterday that “[w]e haven’t thought about it.”
Murdoch noted that “no one’s ever made any money [off the Olympics],” but said that the 2016 Olympics “may be pretty tempting” if they are awarded to Chicago.
Murdoch’s comments come just over a week after FOX said it would “absolutely be a part of the bidding process.”
