- Jim Isch: The NCAA CFO has been named the interim replacement for late NCAA president Myles Brand. Isch, who joined the NCAA in 1998, will remain interim president until the NCAA selects a successor for Brand. (Sports Business Daily)
- Doug Flutie: The former ESPN college football analyst will call UFL telecasts on Versus this year. Flutie will be part of a broadcast team featuring play-by-play voice Dave Sims, former NFL QB Kordell Stewart, and sideline reporter Anita Marks.
- Derrick Brooks: The former NFL player has joined ESPN’s First Take as an NFL analyst. Brooks says his stint with ESPN may be “one of the shortest tenures ever,” as he plans to eventually continue playing in the NFL.
