FOX Names Menefee U.S. Open Host, Adds Several Others
- Fox NFL Sunday anchor Curt Menefee has been named the studio host for Fox Sports’ upcoming coverage of the U.S. Open. Menefee will presumably work alongside Brad Faxon, who was named the lead studio host last year. Also joining Fox Sports’ USGA coverage will be football analysts Charles Davis and Joel Klatt, play-by-play voice Tim Brando, and a slew of newcomers — ranging from former Yahoo! ESPN Leaves Door Open For Tebow Return
- ESPN plans to welcome back former college football analyst Tim Tebow once his NFL comeback is complete, the network indicated in a statement Monday. Tebow, who left ESPN/SEC Network after one year to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles, “has a home at ESPN when his playing career is done,” according to network executive John Wildhack. Payton on Suspension From Fox Sports
- In a statement Wednesday, Fox Sports disclosed that NBA analyst Gary Payton has been on suspension from the network. It is not clear exactly when Payton was suspended, but the decision was made after an internal investigation into assault claims against him.
