- FOX drew a 2.4 overnight rating for regional MLB coverage (featuring Yankees/Red Sox) on Saturday afternoon, down 7% from a 2.6 on the comparable date last year. Keep in mind that last year’s coverage fell on the final Saturday of the regular season.
- Saturday’s Arkansas/Alabama tilt drew a 2.2 overnight rating on CBS, down 27% from a 3.0 for Florida/Tennessee last year, and down 54% from a 4.8 for another Tennessee/Florida matchup a week earlier.
- Five New York-area teams played at virtually the same time on Sunday afternoon, with the Jets coming away victorious in the ratings. Sunday’s Titans/Jets game drew a 10.7 rating, topping a 9.7 for Giants/Buccaneers, a 5.0 for Red Sox/Yankees, a 1.3 for Mets/Marlins, and a 0.2 for a Rangers/Capitals preseason game.
Netflix officially announces expanded NFL deal
